Honours thesis students - if you are interested in doing your thesis in the lab, please contact Dr. Jenn Foote. Be sure to talk to other OVEN members to learn what they are working on or volunteer in the lab for a term to see if you enjoy sound/video analysis.

Volunteers - there are volunteer opportunities in The OVEN each year. Volunteers who complete 30 hours in an academic term are eligible for Co-curricular Record credit. The activity 'Bioacoustics Researach Volunteer' will appear on your transcript. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering in the lab

Internship Course - students taking the Internship in Biology or Internship in Envrionmental Science course can complete their Internship in The OVEN. We have a number of projects well suited to this course.

Summer Positions - each summer there are positions in the lab to do research. Students working in the lab are often funded by the NSERC Undergraduate Research Award (apply in February) or the Algoma University Summer Employment Program (apply in March).

Graduate Opportunities - Algoma University does not have an MSc program in Biology. However, I hold adjunct status at The University of Windsor and Nipissing University. Interested Canadian students are encouraged to contact me about opportunities.
